Welcome to our new site! All data from the old site (including photos) have now been uploaded (whew!)
I will now begin granting limited access to users that have requested it, however all edits will be reviewed by either Vernon CHARTIER or myself for the time being until we're sure the user knows how the new system works (and he and I are still learning it too!).
NOTE: The maps feature does not seem to work well on GOOGLE Chrome, so use the internet browser bundled with Windows.
When Edmond registered for the WWI draft, he was single and living on Endicott St. in Lowell. He scoured heels for the Walter Shoe Co. in Lawrence (Essex), Mass. In this record Edmond (Edmund) says he was born on 4 Nov 1890 whereas in all of the other records he was born on 4 Nov 1887. He and his wife Lucille could not be found in the 1920 census. When the 1930 census was taken, Edmond and Lucille were living with his parents at 51 School St. in Lowell. Edmond was scouring heels at a shoe shop; and Lucille stitched shoes for a shoe shop. Edmond and Lucille can be found in Hartford, Connecticut in 1950 and 1960’s city directories. Lucille died before Edmond.
