News:
Welcome to our new site! All data from the old site (including photos) have now been uploaded (whew!)
I will now begin granting limited access to users that have requested it, however all edits will be reviewed by either Vernon CHARTIER or myself for the time being until we're sure the user knows how the new system works (and he and I are still learning it too!).
NOTE: The maps feature does not seem to work well on GOOGLE Chrome, so use the internet browser bundled with Windows.
When the 1910 and 1920 censuses were taken, George was single and living in Momence. In 1910 he was living next door to the family of his sister, Ida (Sharkey) Werder. He was a farmer. In 1920 he was a roomer in the home of William and Mary Larson on Railroad Ave; and he had no occupation. When he registered for the WWI draft, he was living in Momence, Illinois and was a track laborer for the C.E. & I. railroad in Momence. Could not find him in the 1930 census.
