- JEDDE lived with IDA last few years before death. ARNOLD BLAIR brother to ELECTOR BLAIR, IDAs sister GERTRUDEs husband. IDA had one other child by each husband (5 by each). Ida and Arthur had no children together. When the 1910 census was taken, the family of “Ernest and Ida Blair were living at 86 Barlow St. in Barre. Ernest was a laborer in a granite shed. When Ornel registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918, he was employed as a bed setter in a polishing mill. The company he worked for was Burke Bros. in Barre. The family lived at 1 Farewell St. When the 1920 census was taken, Ida Blair was a widow. She and her children were living at 26 Farewell St. in Barre. According to this census record, no one in the household had a job. It is not clear from Michael Shorkey’s records who is the father of Wendell Blair. When the 1930 census was taken, the family of Arthur and Ida Miner were living in Woburn (Middlesex), Mass. All of Ida’s children except Wendell are in the household. Four of Arthur Miner’s children from a previous marriage are also in the household. In this census, both Arthur and Ida say their first marriages took place when they were 22. Arthur was a laborer in a tannery; Elector Blair was a section hand on a railroad; Esther Blair was a mop maker in a mop factory; and Loretta was a housekeeper for a private family.
