- D. T. Allard in 1881 was a conductor on a street car line in Chicago. After Docite married Delia, he worked for Moses Chartier as a clerk. After a few month’s time, he opened a meat market. In 1890 he purchased a farm of sixty acres adjoining the the corporation limits at the west of St. Anne, a portion of the old homestead formerly belonging to his father. Docite farmed this land, but his home was in St. Anne. The Allards were members of the St. Anne Presbyterina Church. Mr. Allard held various municipal offices, among which were those of Village Trustee, Town Clerk and Village Treasurer, and Secretary of the St. Anne Building and Loan Association. Politically, he was a Republican. When the 1900 census was taken, D. T. and Delia Allard were living in Saint Anne (Kankakee), Illinois. They had been married 17 years. Delia said she was mother of zero children. D.T. was a bank cashier. When the 1910 census was taken, Docite and Delia were still living in St. Anne and Docite was still a cashier at a bank.
